Day 1 – Saturday, October 19:

Departure from JFK at 11:30 PM on EL AL Israel Airlines

Day 2 – Sunday, October 20: Arrive in Israel

Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport where we will be greeted and assisted by our Israel tour representative and transported

to our hotel in Tel Aviv for dinner and overnight: Dan Panorama Hotel, Tel Aviv

Day 3 – Monday, October 21: Tel Aviv and Modern Israel

We will start our day with a visit to the Palmach Museum where we will join a group of young Palmach recruits from its establishment via an interactive exhibit, and advance through the story of the Palmach until the end of the War of Independence. From there we will continue to the Diaspora Museum, (Beit Hatfutsot) which conveys to the world the fascinating narrative of the Jewish people and the essence of the Jewish culture, faith, purpose, and deed, while presenting the contribution of world Jewry to humanity. We will end the day with a tour of Old Yaffo (Jaffa). Jaffa is the ancient seaport famous for its association with the Biblical stories of Solomon, Jonah and Peter. We will head south to Ashkelon for dinner and overnight: Dan Gardens Hotel, Ashkelon.

Day 4 – Tuesday, October 22: The Negev

This morning we head south and visit Sderot where we can view the display of fallen rockets that have been showered on that city over recent years; you will grasp the difficult conditions in which these people have lived. From there we travel through Beersheva to Ben Gurion’s grave overlooking the desert, continue to Ein Avdat and Avdat archeological sites, drive by Makhtesh Ramon, a geological landform only found in Israel. From there we head to Eilat, Israel’s southernmost city.

Dinner and overnight: Leonardo Royal Hotel, Eilat.

Day 5 – Wednesday, October 23: Eilat (or Petra)

Optional 1- day tour to Petra (for additional fee). For those not going to Petra, tour the Timna Wilderness Tabernacle and Timna mines. Dinner and overnight: Leonardo Royal Hotel, Eilat

Day 6 – Thursday, October 24: Experience The South

We will visit the Underwater Observatory Marine Park before heading North of Eilat to visit an IDF army base. We continue North to the desert city of Arad where we will check into our hotel. We will have an early dinner tonight at Kfar Hanokdim Bedouin Hafla. After dinner, we will head to Masada for a spectacular sound and light show.

Overnight: Inbar Hotel, Arad.

Day 7 – Friday, October 25: Jordan Valley

We have a busy day today as we head to the Dead Sea area, stopping by the Ein Gedi Overlook to see where David spent a good bit of time and where he hid from King Saul. We then drive past Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, and take a float in the Dead Sea (Be sure to bring your bathing suits and beach towel). After our float, on to Jericho. After our Jericho visit, we continue our Northern route to Beit Shean and afterwards end our busy day by checking into our hotel on the Sea of Galilee (Kinneret).

Dinner and overnight: Caesar Hotel, Tiberias.

Day 8 – Saturday, October 26: Shabbat – FREE DAY

On your own! You will have the day to rest, swim, hike or explore the area on your own. Take a walk on the Tayelet (boardwalk) or spend some time admiring the peaceful beauty of Tiberias.

Dinner and overnight: Caesar Hotel, Tiberias.

Day 9 – Sunday, October 27: Explore The Golan

We start the day early with touring the Biblical sites around the Galilee; tour the upper Galilee and the Golan Heights. End the day with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Dinner and overnight: Caesar Hotel, Tiberias.

Day 10 – Monday, October 28: The Land of The Bible

We head today to the Mt Carmel overlook, visit a Druze Village, then tour the Atlit British Detention Camp. From here, we travel to Caesarea, and see history uncovered before our eyes. We will stop and visit Shilo before our ascent into Jerusalem.

Dinner and overnight: Dan Boutique, Jerusalem.

Day 11 – Tuesday, October 29: Jerusalem, Old City

We start the day with a visit to the Kotel (Wailing Wall), the Temple Institute, City of David Archaeology, and the Southern Steps. You can find one of many places to eat lunch in the Old City of Jerusalem. Afterwards, we will meet up and visit the Mt of Olives and Garden of Gethsemane, and ending at the Garden Tomb. This evening, we will be honored to have Calev Myers, or, a representative of the Jerusalem Institute of Justice, address our group.

Dinner and overnight: Dan Boutique: Jerusalem.

Day 12 – Wednesday, October 30: Connect to Your Spiritual Roots

Drive by Beit Lechem (Bethlehem), toward Hevron and visit the Machpelah Cave (Tomb of the Patriarchs) and Ruth’s gravesite (great-grandmother of King David). After lunch we will visit the Israel Museum where Dead Sea Scrolls and Temple Model are housed. We will end the tour early afternoon to give you time to do some souvenir shopping in Jerusalem.

Day 13 – Thursday, October 31: Jerusalem, Jewish Heart

Today we will check out of our hotel for our final day of site seeing. Make sure you pack everything as we will check out of the hotel and not return. We will start at YadVaShem Holocaust Memorial and Museum, continue to Mt Herzl to the Herzl Museum, and then to Ammunition Hill. We will have a special treat for our farewell dinner where we will go back in time to Abraham’s Tent (Eretz Bereshit) overlooking the Judean Desert before we are transferred to Ben Gurion Airport and transported back to the present for our overnight flight back to the USA.

Day 14 – Friday, November 1: Shalom

We say Shalom to Israel with our early morning flight. Arrive USA. **itinerary subject to change**
