Thomas and Tsipora Blackburn and family have worked on behalf of Israel for many years, leading tours, speaking, and encouraging support both monetarily and prayer-wise for Israel, having themselves lived in the Land. While living in Israel, Thomas wrote his first newsletter from Israel regarding Israel and Biblical prophecy and sent it out via e-mail to family and friends. Upon returning to the States, Thomas and Tsipora continued to develop their newsletters and in June, 2006 HaShomer was born. Newsletters are sent via e-mail. Those who do not have e-mail can receive mailed copies by request.
Thomas is available for speaking engagements. Currently, the family is helping to establish a congregation in Louisville, KY called Adat HaTikvah, meaning The Congregation of the Hope, which meets each Shabbat (Saturday mornings at 11 a.m.).
We organize and host tours to Israel to help break down fears and prejudices and help people to better understand Israel's place in God's plan and purpose. We offer the opportunity for congregational leaders and others to join us and learn about Israel today.
The specific objectives and purposes of HaShomer are to promote a deeper understanding of the Holy Scriptures, of Israel and current world events as they pertain to fulfillment of biblical prophecy.
The ongoing efforts of HaShomer are funded by individual donations. If you would like to donate to HaShomer, please see the information on our homepage. If you would like to learn more about HaShomer, or would like to contact us for speaking or help in organizing a tour to Israel, please e-mail us at: hashomernet@gmail.com with details. We will contact you as soon as possible. Make sure to include your name, address and phone number with the specific request, as well as the best time to reach you.
Thank you for your support.
